Path to Self Realization

Before discussing the path to self realization... we need understanding the definition of self realization! The concept of self realization as detailed in Hinduism and other religions of the world! The Wikipedia dictionary is mum on the matter! The concept of self realization... the path of self realization can only be understood by one who is serious about traveling the spiritual path!

If we make a search on the topic of self realization on Google search engine most websites that crop up relate to self realization Fellowship... The teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and also Sahaja yoga! All are free to write anything yet one factor remains crucial... those who have yet to realize God... are they competent to write on self realization?

The Wikipedia dictionary is full of Hinduism concepts where the editors are absolutely ignorant about the subject yet, as the control of Wikipedia dictionary lay in hands of people in the West... it is their ignorance that is being propagated! No matter what... a true seeker of spirituality would reach the source of its own as did swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda had a deep-rooted desire to see God! Venturing all over in search of God he was told by someone that there was a Sadhu (a Hindu monk) who had a hermitage across a particular River but it was not advisable to meet the Sadhu in such an inclement weather! It was raining heavily... few days had passed and the river was flowing to the brim.

Against all odds Swami Vivekananda took a plunge in the night. As nothing was visible except for a few flashes of moonlight... Swami Vivekananda got hold of a log that was floating by and somehow crossed the river! Even the best swimmers would have hesitated in crossing the river at this time of night with waters flowing over the bank!

When Swami Vivekananda returned after a day... the river was still in full spate! He somehow crossed the river and reached his destination! Such was the ferocity of Swami Vivekananda in searching for God that when people told him what he had assumed as a log was a dead body of a human being... he was least perturbed!

The willpower that Swami Vivekananda possessed was unsurpassable by all means! If Swami Vivekananda had desired traveling the path of self realization in his lifetime... he would have definitely reached the goal of his life but he had other ideas! The benefit of the community was foremost in his mind... he lived for the welfare of the community until the end of his life!

The bulldog determination that Winston Churchill demonstrated is necessitated on the path to self realization! The journey of self realization is not that easily covered... in the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over only two persons traveled and finally covered the path of self realization... Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana!

Both of these spiritual stalwarts started on the path of self realization via the path of bhakti yoga! As considerable number of years elapsed... both of these spiritual stalwarts realized that the path to self realization needs pursuing the path of jnana yoga! It was the path of jnana yoga... path of absolute wisdom at the end of which lay the fruits of spirituality... the stage of self realization!

The path of jnana yoga is best traveled as preached and advocated in the sacred Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism! For reaching God Almighty... for realizing our true inner self... for liberating our soul atman from the cycle of birth and death forever... one needs eradicating from within karma forever! As long as karma existed... our soul atman would continue manifesting bodies one after another!

It is ceasing of karma that finally made soul atman free of all bondages of earthly life! Only by traveling path of jnana yoga could human beings eradicate the karma forever! Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana... the moment they realized this truth of life... it was never looking back... both started assimilating the wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism!

As far as the formal education of both was concerned both were illiterates yet in their lifetime they reached the stage of self realization by traveling the path of jnana yoga... the path of absolute wisdom! For understanding the intricacies of spiritual world... for understanding the gist of Bhagavad-Gita one need not gain formal education!

For reaching the stage of enlightenment... for becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed one need not gain bookish knowledge! It was the path of jnana yoga... the path of absolute wisdom that finally paved way for Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana realizing God in their lifetime!

Whatever the path... whatever the means essence of life lay in both of them gaining enlightenment at the end of journey! The path of self realization is simple as advocated in sacred Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism yet, how many people follow the same! The gist of Bhagavad-Gita is available for mere $.60 (rupees 30/=) at most railway stations of India or directly from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India yet, how many fathom the depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism?

It is not the availability of sacred Scriptures... the dearth of sacred Scriptures that is in question... it is the capability of the incumbent that is questionable! Unless the serious seeker of spirituality has the potential of Swami Vivekananda one can not travel the path of self realization. Reaching the stage of self realization means reaching end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation!

God Almighty ordained a journey of 1.1 million manifestations in human form... an earthly life cycle of 12.4 million years for human beings to reach the stage of self realization (termed enlightenment in English). The path of self realization has its pitfalls... we never know what God has in store for us on the spiritual path.

As many human beings... as many different paths to God can there be! The path of spirituality is not full of thorns... it is made up of thorns! At every stage of life God Almighty tests us to the limits! Chances of failure are absolute... the prime reason why one out of millions finally succeeds in reaching the stage of self realization... the stage of enlightenment!

On the path of self realization foremost of all requirements is establishing absolute control over five senses and the mind. In the physical manifest world full of material riches galore... dogged by a bloated ego... Wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches most human beings fail to fix a goal in life... can such human beings be expected to travel the spiritual path... path to self realization?

Establishing absolute control over sensual inhibitions... sexual inhibitions is extremely difficult! In a world full of beautiful ladies galore... keeping a tab on sexual energies becomes really difficult! Unless we travel the path of absolute celibacy for a minimum of 12 years in continuation... we simply cannot reach the stage of self realization!

It is only by practicing absolute celibacy... full awakening of the kundalini becomes possible! To reach the end of cosmic life in a short life span of 70 to 80 years... we need expediting the journey by practicing absolute celibacy in totality! Sage Vishwamitra... a very renowned sage of his era on sight of a maiden woman taking bath in forlorn circumstances in deep dense jungles (forests) fell from grace... he had to repeat the practice of absolute celibacy all over again!

Acharya Rajneesh (popularly known as Osho) in the last stages of his spiritual pursuit mixed sex with yoga... he bitterly failed in his experiment to the extent that no country in the world was willing to accept him. He was kicked out of United States of America unceremoniously! Finally his motherland India came to his rescue... he died a disgraceful death!

On the path of pure spirituality... on the path of self realization there is no scope for a single lapse! So was ordained by God Almighty! The path of pure spirituality... the path to self realization demands highest level of patience, persistence and perseverance that can ever be practiced by a human being! Traveling the path of self realization is walking on a razor's edge!

Most human beings world over underestimate the power of spirituality... the power of enlightenment... the merit in gaining self realization! Most human beings I have met in life wanted to gain self realization part-time... even while carrying out the chores of their daily routine life! The system of God Almighty demands highest level of perfection... it is never a part time job!

What truly requires a journey of millions of earthly years in the human form... if we desire covering it in a life span of 70 to 80 years... we definitely need to take the elevator straight up! By moving ahead one step at a time we simply cannot cover the journey in a life span of 70 to 80 years! It is by following the path of absolute celibacy... it is by transmuting the complete sexual energies at our disposal... we finally climbed the elevator to the top!

Self realization can only be reached while living the life of a hermit is a misnomer. Even while living in family life human beings can accomplish this almost incomprehensible task! The journey of self realization is difficult... extremely painful at times yet, keeping our best foot forward one step at a time human beings can reach the stage of self realization in one's lifetime!

When 11 years of age I had a deep-rooted desire to see and meet God in this very life. Not knowing what God Almighty meant I firmed up my desire when 13 years of age! Come whatever may in this very life I shall see and meet God! 25 years of yoga meditation... that included 14 years practice of absolute celibacy... I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age!

I have reached the end goal of spiritual pursuit... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in the cosmic life cycle! Nowhere else to go further I shall but attain moksha (salvation) at the end of journey. The moment I leave my mortal frame... I shall as a liberated soul atman enter the abode of God... the kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism).

I have seen the sun in its full glory! I have treaded the path of self realization! I have reached the Mount Everest of spirituality. I can differentiate truth from falsehood! There is nothing beyond my means that I cannot know! The wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita has become like ABCD to me... as if I had dictated the contents of Bhagavad-Gita in one of my earlier manifestations!

I have reached the end goal of spiritual life even while remaining within the confines of the family! I know it is possible... but really difficult... more so when we see the absolute beauty created by God Almighty all around! Controlling fights senses and the mind is a gigantic task... something totally incomprehensible by the commoners... the masses!

Only a true seeker of spirituality can comprehend what self realization nee enlightenment truly means! On my various websites exist a horde of articles; fathoming gist of which human beings can reach stage of self realization, the stage of enlightenment! In various essays are hidden clues and mantras unveiling which wisdom of the ages becomes clear!
