Definition
of Celibacy
Celibacy is
not least concerned with sex drive. The practice of celibacy is
meant for the seeker of the spiritual path... a spiritual traveler
of the uncharted path of spirituality! Physical celibacy is practiced
by voluntary abstention of sexual indulgence.
Practicing mental
celibacy is the real crux of life. The true definition of celibacy
is altogether stopping the flow of negative thoughts to the brain!
No invocations of negative thoughts... human beings finally reach
the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... the stage of nothingness!
Those living
a worldly life need not practice celibacy at all! Celibacy is meant
to preserve the potent sexual energies needed on the spiritual path.
Indulging in a sexual relationship... the question of practicing
celibacy does not arise!
The path of
spirituality demands highest level of perfection... one needs curtailing
sexual indulgences... transmuting sexual energy to more creative
channels... attaining the ultimate goal of life... the stage of
enlightenment (kaivalya jnana).
By practicing
absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation...
one finally reached the stage of enlightenment. If we desire spending
the earthly sojourn of 70 to 80 years as a normal human being...
why curtail pleasures of life by indulging in celibacy!
