Articles Fate Destiny Free-Will

  • Belief Fate Destiny
Believe in destiny and also fate... but do not leave anything to chance! Destiny is the fruit of the residual balance of karma that has been brought forward from all previous manifestations. That does not mean I cannot change my destiny. By performing the requisite karma in the present life... one can mold ones destiny. How? Suppose you are born at number 46.30029 in the house of a farmer. In the normal circumstances if I leave everything in the hands of destiny... then I might marry another farmer's daughter and settle down in life.

  • Belief Destiny
Not only do I believe in destiny... I took absolute control of my destiny in the earlier stages of my life. My experience - When young, I wanted to come face-to-face with God in this very life. I wanted to travel the path taken by Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed. I was just 11 years of age when I converted my desire to conviction. At 13 years of age I had finally decided to leave in search of God. I asked of my mother for permission. She did not grant permission to leave the house. As destiny would have it I started in search of God from the precincts of my house.
  • Controlling Destiny Fate
I not only control my destiny... I have reached the end of my cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation. I shall gain salvation (moksha) when I leave the mortal frame forever after the death of the body. With what surety can I say this...is it not taking things too far! When I was 13 years of age I had a very strong conviction to go in search of God come whatever may. I went to the temple with my mother on all religious occasions but somehow felt that God did not reside in the statues that existed in temples. I wanted a spiritual master who could guide me on path to God... there were none to be found!
  • Fate free will
If we try to understand the concept of time and karma... all becomes clear! Every soul atman requires a maximum of 8.4 million manifestations before it liberates forever from the cycle of birth and death. And what does this mean for human beings? Unless a human being gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)... no soul atman can ever liberate. This journey of 8.4 million manifestations is covered in 96.4 million earthly years... a long journey indeed! Compare this to a sojourn of 70 to 80 years in the life of a human being. The total life span of a human being is but a spot on the scale of 96.4 million earthly years. This clearly indicates that in the normal routine... the destiny of a human being is rather fixed!
  • Experiencing bad luck
Do we ever realize that every bad luck we face in life is of our making! In one of our previous manifestations we indulged in something so negative that the fruits of that karma disturb our present life. Karma performed being negative in nature... the fruits that we experience in the present life is also negative (termed as bad luck). Positive karma in previous lives yields fruits of positive nature... one feels lucky throughout... we may win a handsome lottery who knows when!
  • Fate and Destiny
People do not use fate and destiny as excuses for not trying in life! Unable to understand the underlying crux of doctrine of karma... humanity world over assumes the destiny of mankind... an individual is not in ones hands! Why so? When we perform Karma... we expect the results... the fruits thereof in present life itself!

  • Control of Destiny
Yes... every single human being is the soul master of ones destiny! How and why? Everything in the cosmic system is governed by the doctrine of karma... as we perform so shall we get... nothing less or more! In the domain of God there are no free lunches. All is the result of a system that cannot err! Every single living being is the creator and master of ones destiny!
  • Manifest Destiny
The destiny of a human being is governed by the karma of the present life and the residual balance of karma of all previous manifestations. In the doctrine of karma, God Almighty planted an element X so that the intelligent human being does not manipulate the present or the future! If everything in the cosmic system resulted in two plus two equals four... there was a possibility of misuse of this highly potential ability!
