Meaning of FateThe meaning of fate as per the sacred scriptures can only be understood if we truly understand the meaning of karma, destiny and foremost of all the doctrine of continuity of life by our soul atman from manifestation to manifestation... body after body! our soul atman the spirit within initial belief must be... it is our soul atman... the spirit within that has manifested the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! Ever since the soul atman started on its cosmic journey... it is imbibed with impurities that need removal. Every soul atman need manifest a total of 8.4 million manifestations (an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years)... before it finally liberates itself from the cycle of birth and death... regains its original pure prime state form! This journey of soul atman from one manifestation to another is facilitated by the doctrine of karma. At the time of death of the body... as is the residual balance of karma of present life... so would be the next manifestation taken by our soul atman. If the residual balance of karma demands one taking birth in the house of the cobbler... none can manifest the body of a prince (get born in the house of a king)... it just cannot be! It was our destiny... we were born in the house of a cobbler! We were fated into it by the residual balance of karma from all previous manifestations by our soul atman. However, in present life... by manifesting destiny... this noble cobbler's son can marry the Princess of the state. This can be made possible by manifesting destiny... by taking control of destiny in totality! In normal course of life... in the present earthly sojourn none may have committed any fault or bad karma! Yet... bad fate may befall us and we become witness to the death of a child in the family. It was fate that none could have circumvented by any means! If the child embraced death early in life... all owed its existence to the residual balance of karma from the previous manifestations! If we desire improving our future life... we need indulge in positive karma (Punya karma) all the time! Every single human being exists between the karma index of 7.300001 and 8.400000! Reaching the 8.4 millionth manifestation means reaching the end of cosmic life... when human beings gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). The doctrine of karma plays a pivotal role in deciding the fate of one. If we are born a cobblers son... it resulted from the residual balance of karma from previous manifestations. But... intelligent as human beings are, God Almighty... in order human beings do not manipulate or extrapolate the doctrine of karma inbuilt a portion of hidden karma that can fructify in any manifestation now... or many manifestations henceforth. In simpler words whatever be our karma now... the fruits of the same can fructify (become available to us) now in present life, the next manifestation or many manifestations henceforth! This hidden factor... the X karma sometimes results in our winning a lottery or experiencing bad fate. In the residual balance of karma (the X factor) is positive... one wins a lottery all of a sudden... what if negative X factor affects us... we witness death of someone! This hidden X factor as per Bhagavad Gita is termed Prarabdha karma... that portion of karma which can fructify any moment of time now or in future manifestations! To neutralize
the affects of negative X factor... the resultant negative Prarabdha
karma... the only recourse is our indulgence in positive karma...
