Purpose of LifeThe purpose of life and the soul can be understood by following the spiritual path... the uncharted path of spirituality as advocated in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism... the foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on Mother Earth. Bhagavad Gita is one such document knowing which... one becomes knower of all... gains omniscience for all practical purposes. It is the path of spirituality that tells us we are in truth a soul atman on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years! It is Bhagavad Gita that tells us our soul atman started its cosmic journey the moment God Almighty exploded self with a big bang and created the whole Cosmos... the journey of life! God Almighty (the cluster of all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos at a given point of time) the moment it explodes self... all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos hurtled down their cosmic journey at unimaginable speeds. In the melee the hurtling souls' atmans gathered impurities similar as a rolling ball gathers moss. The human form is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. Only as human beings our soul atman finally regains its original pure pristine primordial form... never otherwise! The moment human beings reached 8.4 millionth manifestation all is over for the soul atman within... it finally liberates from the cycle of birth and death forever. The journey in the human form gets started when our soul atman crosses 7.3 million manifestations in the insect, plant and animal form! If human beings existed in class 12 then to a human being all insects are like students of class one, all plants like students of class four and all animals like students of class nine! All are thy brethren in the journey of life. As a human being it becomes our duty to follow the dictates of our soul atman... the ultimate master and controller of the body! It is our soul atman that has manifested the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! It is not within the capability of the human body to manifest a soul atman.
As a human being our first task is forming a goal in life. About 95% people world over never form a goal in life. Their life is like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean. Forming a goal in life is of utmost importance. In absence of goal one can never achieve anything in life! The goal of life must be fixed based on something truly dear to our heart and not imposed externally! The contents of Bhagavad Gita can never be understood literally. One needs following the path of absolute truthfulness for understanding Bhagavad Gita. Becoming truthful always and ever in life is the most important task that every human being faces! To live in this materialistic world and simultaneously following a truthful path is extremely difficult... but not impossible!
