Vedas is foremost of all sacred Hindu text that initially originated on mother Earth. The sacred Hindu text... the revered Vedas was invoked directly from God Almighty by enlightened sages and saints of that era! Vedas are many in number... the foremost of which being Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda!

Amongst all sacred Hindu text available on mother Earth... it is the wisdom contained in Vedas that paved way for humanity to live religiously... in a coherent manner! In the days of yore when no religion existed... it was wisdom contained in Vedas that made life meaningful as human beings... the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle!

Apart from Dharma (righteousness) that existed from times immemorial... it was latent messages contained in Vedas that formed essence of life! For thousands of years life on mother Earth was directly governed by Vedas... the most sacred Hindu text existing in those times! All Vedas... the messages contained were directly invoked from God Almighty.

Vedas in Hindi means bola hua (spoken from mouth)! The wisdom of Vedas existed in the mind... in the brain of a handful of sages and saints of that era! Lipi... the written word had not yet evolved! It was only through the word of mouth... wisdom of Vedas percolated down further! The essence of Vedas lay in its pronunciation... the manner syllable is pronounced.

Multitude of Gurukuls (places of study) and Hermitages kept the system of Vedas alive! Generation after generation... the wisdom of Vedas kept flowing down... finally reducing to the written word around 2nd BC. No sooner the wisdom of sacred Hindu text Vedas was available in written form... the masses flocked to indulge in rituals en masse!

The wisdom contained in Vedas... the foremost of all sacred Hindu text was voluminous in nature! It never appealed to the masses... who were ever busy with routines... the mundane affairs of life! Came Lord Krishna and the doctrine of Bhagavad-Gita was presented to mankind in the battle of Mahabharata between Pandavas and Kauravas!

The complete essence of Vedas is now available to mankind in form of Bhagavad-Gita... the most sacred Hindu text made available to humanity by grace of God Almighty! There is nothing beyond Bhagavad-Gita that is worth knowing in cosmic system. The knower of Bhagavad-Gita transcending all barriers of physical manifest life... finally gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)!

Amongst all sacred texts of Hinduism... the doctrine of Bhagavad-Gita is the foremost of all! By fathoming the depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita... I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age! Having reached the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in cosmic life cycle I shall but attain salvation (moksha) at the end of journey!

Bhagavad-Gita... the Hindu holy book... the Hindu sacred book has no parallel in mankind! Any person world over belonging to any religion, faith or belief can assimilate the wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita. The contents of Bhagavad-Gita have universal appeal. Every human being even while remaining in ones religion can follow the dictates of Bhagavad-Gita!

Amongst all religious texts of Hinduism, Bhagavad-Gita is the bane of all... the prime reason why Bhagavad-Gita has also been termed Vedanta (the end of Vedas). In simpler words it means that for reaching God... for knowing God one need not refer to Vedas... the teachings of Bhagavad-Gita suffices in present times!

It is as if the sacred texts of Vedas have been precipitated into the sacred Bhagavad-Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata! Bhagavad-Gita is not all about upholding Dharma (righteousness)... the essence of Bhagavad-Gita lay in understanding life in its entirety!

It is Bhagavad-Gita that tells us our soul atman the spirit within being the ultimate controller and master of the body and not vice versa! It is not within the capability of human body to manifest a soul atman. Bhagavad-Gita tells us every soul atman manifests a human body to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within!

Following the dictates contained in the most sacred Hindu book Bhagavad-Gita... human gods... man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and prophet Mohammed finally gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana ) in their lifetime! Right from the first manifestation to the last as human beings, all is detailed in sacred Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism.

Amongst varied sacred Hindu text apart from sacred Bhagavad Gita exist, Upanishads (independent treatises), Puranas, Itihasas, Agamas and Darshanas! There is no dearth of Hindu sacred scriptures in Hinduism! Yet... fathoming depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism... Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally gained enlightenment!

The most sacred Hindu scripture... the sacred Bhagavad-Gita consists of 700 shlokas (verses) that formed the essence of life! The wisdom contained in holy book Bhagavad-Gita can never be understood literally... it needs reading in between the lines! Some shlokas (verses) of Bhagavad-Gita have such depth that explaining them needs not hours but days... even weeks!

Bhagavad-Gita is the bane of Hindu philosophy... the epitome of spirituality! If we desire reaching God in present lifetime... there is no other alternative than to travel the spiritual path... the uncharted path of spirituality that takes one directly to God Almighty! The spiritual path is best traveled following the dictates contained in Bhagavad-Gita... the most sacred Hindu text!

Spirituality is all about following the teachings contained in Bhagavad-Gita! In absence of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita... spirituality carries no meaning! One who does not follow the teachings of Bhagavad-Gita can never remain spiritual... do whatever may! Following the religious path... no human being can reach God!

Religion is primarily meant for keeping the flock together... the whole humanity bonded together! For passing the present life... the earthly domain of 70 to 80 years in a meaningful manner the essence of religion is necessitated! For following the inner domain... our soul atman the spirit within... assimilating the teachings contained in Bhagavad-Gita is necessitated!

Religion and spirituality have different role to play! Religion is primarily following rituals... the path of prayers and worshiping... that primarily leads nowhere! Unless we remove karma... unless we negate karma forever in totality... no human being can ever cross ocean of samsara (worldly life) and reach portals of God... kingdom of God (termed Baikuntha in Hinduism)!

The foremost of all sacred texts of Hinduism... the revered Bhagavad-Gita is available for mere $.60 (rupees 30/=) across most railway stations of India or directly from Gita press, Gorakhpur, India! The cheapest of all sacred Hindu texts... yet difficult to assimilate... understand! By controlling five senses and the mind human beings finally crossed the ephemeral world!

Apart from controlling five senses and the mind... practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation is necessitated. The full awakening of kundalini demands practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation. Only then human beings reached the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... the stage of nothingness!
