Absolute
Truthfulness
All ethical
decisions in Hinduism are based on truthfulness and logic. Absolute
truthfulness plays a major role in Hinduism. Truthfulness forms
the core of teachings of Bhagavad Gita. In absence of truthfulness...
the teachings of Bhagavad Gita can never be understood by one. Bhagavad
Gita simply cannot be understood literally.
The fundamental
of logic is applicable at each in every stage of Hinduism. Either
you convince me... or I convince you and whoever convinces in the
end wins the end. Hinduism is primarily a religion of forgiveness
and compassion. Every human being has been endowed with that special
power of discrimination that distinguishes us from animals.
Mounted with
this power of discrimination... human beings can make ethical decisions!
Furthermore the voice of our soul atman that seems to come from
within our heart always guides us on the right path. Traveling the
path of absolute truthfulness most human beings can hear the voice
of our soul atman... never otherwise!
Logically
arguing out every query, following the path of truthfulness always
and ever... following the promptings of my soul atman... I finally
realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age!
