How do we become immortal... gain immortality in this mortal world! As a human being can we ever become immortal... something that does not remain subjected to death any longer! Can we truly become an immortal soul... much above the mundane ephemeral world! When we become immortal... what does it truly mean! Is it the body that becomes immortal or the soul?

The moment human beings reached the level of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana in Hinduism) and finally salvation (moksha)... one has practically defeated death in its face. Having overcome death forever... the immortal soul finally regains its original pure pristine form. In the mortal world we term it as gaining immortality... liberation from cycle of birth and death forever!

We all know that our soul atman residing within our heart is imperishable and indestructible in nature! Yet mired in impurities it needs cleansing by passing through a phase of 8.4 million manifestations. The moment the soul atman reaches 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in the cosmic life cycle... it becomes free forever... it is considered having gained immortality!

Similar as the metal within an ore cannot separate itself on its own and requires requisite mining machinery for its separation... the soul atman mired in impurities also requires manifesting body after body to cleanse itself of the impurities... the dross within! The moment human beings reach the stage of enlightenment... all is over for the soul atman within!

One has finally reached the last leg of cosmic life when the immortal soul gains entry into the abode of God... the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). Having gained enlightenment... salvation is not afar! After enlightenment one finally gains salvation in that very life. Reaching the kingdom of God is reaching a point of no return!

The liberated soul atman after reaching the abode of God remains in the kingdom of God until the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs. Only when a new cosmos is formed by big bang... all souls atmans restart on their cosmic journey... never before! The journey in the human form is the most pleasant experience for the soul atman within.

Only in the human form the immortal soul atman reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! The human form is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. Starting its cosmic life cycle as an amoeba (single cell formation)... the first manifestation in the cosmic life cycle... it further evolves into insect life, plant life and animal life!

The human form is reached after crossing through 7.3 million manifestations in the insect, plant and animal form. In the human form alone we have 1.1 million manifestations for the soul atman to gain liberation and regain its original pure pristine form. The state of immortality is reached by gaining enlightenment only... never otherwise!

Mahavira, Jesus Christ, Gautama Buddha and Prophet Mohammed... all gained enlightenment and finally salvation in their lifetime. These immortal souls finally entered the kingdom of God! Entry into the kingdom of God bodily is never permitted. Nor can the soul atman enter the kingdom of God directly from heaven or hell.

Only in the human form can the soul atman become immortal... reach its zenith of life! Bodily... none can become immortal! Immortality is gained by our soul atman within and not the body. Physical immortality is a word coined by human beings. In the cosmic world... the domain of soul atmans... physical immortality does not carry any meaning!

Ways to become immortal

To become immortal... human beings need to reach the level of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! All these man gods (human gods) gained enlightenment and finally salvation in their lifetime. They became immortals as life and death ceased to exist for them! No further manifestation of the body by the soul atman within... one finally becomes immortal!

The prevalent theory that gaining a seat in heaven is gaining immortality forever is a misnomer. Both heaven and hell are interim stages in the life cycle of the soul atman within. Bodily none can enter the kingdom of heaven or hell. Heaven exists in the core of Sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade.

It is in such high temperatures the soul atman feels comfortable. Hell exists in the periphery of Sun where temperatures are considerably less. It is in such low temperatures the soul atman suffers in eternity. Whenever matching parents are not available on Mother Earth... the soul atman hibernates in heaven or hell... in heaven if the residual balance of karma is positive and hell if negative!

No sooner matching parents become available on Mother Earth... the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a body to work out its karma... cleanse itself of the impurities within! The moment all impurities within the soul atman remove... one reaches the state of immortality... becomes immortal forever!

No further life to manifest... no further manifestation of the body... the liberated soul atman rests in the kingdom of God for eternity. The liberation of the soul atman from the cycle of birth and death forever is termed as becoming immortal in the mortal world! The state of immortality is always reached by our soul atman and never the body.

Immortality meaning and concept Immortality ... a word framed by Lord and not coined by a Human Being has altogether a different meaning than we self centered understand! Who becomes immortal? One who after intense Meditation is able to live longer compared to a normal Human Being or one, who does not have to manifest a body again and again and rests in peace in Baikuntha (Abode of God totally different from Heaven).

God the Creator and Man Gods Creator: "Brahman, the Creator" is one. Gods can be many. Brahman created the Universe and in it all Atmans (Souls). These Atmans manifest themselves in different forms to purify themselves. Once purified ... they attain Moksha (liberation). The purified Atmans have been accorded a status by the Society ... we call them God. Man Gods... are those Human Beings, those jivas who in their Life time have liberated themselves from the cycle of birth and death and have become immortal (amar). They are known as amar for they shall not manifest again.

Human Evolution and becoming Immortal All these enlightened souls like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed had transcended life itself. They had become immortal in the true sense that they would not have to indulge again in manifesting life thereafter. Life had truly come full circle for these godly souls.

Letter to all mankind and Immortality Understand the noble goal of "Atman" within you ... cause for all misery and fear vanishes. None can cause harm to any "Atman" being immortal. The "Atman" can not itself liberate to rejoin the "Lord" until it has cleansed itself (Karma is exhausted) through various manifested physical forms.

Humans Beings and becoming immortal It is absolutely clear that no human being can directly either go to heaven or the kingdom of God. The domain of heaven and hell and also the kingdom of God is open for soul atmans only. In the physical manifest form of life as a human being or any other form... any wishful thinking of becoming an immortal does not exist in the cosmic system.
