Immortality
is not a phenomenon... it is an absolute fact of life. The moment
human beings reached the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)...
one was termed immortal! Why? Having gained enlightenment... having
reached the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 million manifestation...
the liberated soul atman need not manifest a body again!
This stage of
soul atman... devoid of any dross impurities within... the requirement
of manifesting a body further ceasing to exist... one is considered
having gained immortality... a permanent stage. After gaining immortality...
the liberated soul atman after salvation (moksha) gained entry into
the kingdom of God (aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism).
Immortality
never exists in the physical form. After reaching the stage of immortality...
the soul atman need not enter heaven or hell again. The kingdom
of God Vaikuntha is a one-way path... a point of no return! Once
entered... the liberated soul atman remains in the kingdom of God
until eternity... until the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs!
The truth of
cosmic life is... it is our soul atman... the spirit within that
manifests the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross
impurities within! The human garb is but a path... a medium for
the soul atman to purify itself. The goal of life belongs to our
soul atman and not the human form. Immortality also belongs to our
soul atman and not the human form.
