Gaining Immortality

Both are true... yes, both the concepts! We truly have monkeys as our ancestors. Why? It is a fact of life that human beings are limited by the life span of 70 to 80 years. It is our soul atman... the spirit within that is the actual master and controller of the body. It is our soul atman... the spirit within that has manifested the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! It is not within the powers of a human body to manifest a soul atman.

Every soul atman in its cosmic life cycle manifests a total of 8.4 million bodies before it liberates itself from the cycle of birth and death forever. Amongst 8.4 million manifestations... the initial 7.3 million manifestations are in insect, plant and animal form. The remaining 1.1 million manifestations are in the human form.

During this period of 1.1 million manifestations... human beings are expected to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and then finally salvation (moksha). Does this mean before reaching the stage of human beings... we have already remained all forms of insects, plants and animals! Yes, the truth is so!

The human form is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle. It is only in the human form our soul atman... the spirit within regains its original lost pure prime pristine primordial form... never otherwise! In no other manifest form other than human beings does the soul atman liberate itself permanently from the cycle of birth and death.

Immortality belongs to the soul atman and not the human form. The moment any soul atman... the spirit within liberates itself from the cycle of birth and death forever... it reaches the stage of immortality. The moment human beings gained enlightenment and finally salvation... one is said to have reached the stage of immortality... for the soul atman within becomes free forever!

In the bodily form... immortality can never be gained. It was never meant to be. Gaining immortally and living in heaven (termed Swarga in Hinduism) are not to be. Heaven exists in the core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It is in such high temperatures the soul atman feels comfortable.

Hell (termed Naraka in Hinduism) exists in the periphery of the sun where temperatures are considerably less. It is in such low temperatures the soul atman suffers for eternity. In absence of matching parents not available on Mother Earth... the hibernating soul atman remains in the kingdom of heaven if the residual balance of karma is positive... hell if negative!

The goal of human life always is and always remains... liberating our soul atman... the spirit within from the cycle of birth and death forever. Gaining enlightenment at the earliest is the ultimate goal of every human form. Whether we do it now or leave it for future manifestations... is the sole prerogative of every individual human being! Who knows what we shall be in the next manifestation... why not travel the spiritual path now!

After reaching the stage of enlightenment and salvation by human beings... the liberated soul atman finally enters the abode of God... the kingdom of God (aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism). Vaikuntha is a place of no return. Until the dissolution of the Cosmos occurs... the liberated souls atmans remains in Vaikuntha... the kingdom of God Forever!
