Past Life

Belief or no belief... the abstract values of life always remain firm... never changing from individual to individual! Whatever be the circumstance of life... the truths explained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism always withstand scrutiny of time.

Be it 4000 years earlier or now... as per doctrine of Bhagavad Gita truth never changes with time... the prime reason why all sacred scriptures hold good always and ever. All scriptures support truth and only truth... the prime reason why a commoner finds it difficult to understand scriptures.

As per Bhagavad Gita... our soul atman... the spirit within is the only truth of life. It is our soul atman... the spirit within that manifests the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! our soul atman the spirit within soul atman is the master and controller of the body... the human form!

Similar as one KG of pure gold sandwiched in hundred KG lump of gold ore... our soul atman is imbibed with impurities. To cleanse itself of the dross impurities within... every soul atman manifests a total of 8.4 million bodies in its lifetime.

Starting the first manifestation as an amoeba (single cell formation)... it further evolves into multi-cell formation... then insect life, plant life, animal life and finally form of human beings! Before reaching human stage... our soul atman has already manifested total of 7.3 million manifestations.

our soul atman the spirit within soul atman is the ultimate master and controller of the human body and not vice versa. In the circumstances if human beings think we have no past life... we err in our decisions so vital to our life! The human sojourn of 70 to 80 years is but a small speck in the vast array of 96.4 million earthly years in the life of a soul atman.

The entire journey of 96.4 million earthly years in life of a soul atman is one single span of life! What can be more comforting then the fact that it is only in human form our soul atman finally liberates self from cycle of birth and death forever... regains its original pure pristine primordial form! The journey in human form is the most pleasant experience for our soul atman.

In the human form alone we have 1.1 million types of manifestations during which human beings are expected to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha). Right from the first manifestation to the last... the goal of soul atman remains... liberation from cycle of birth and death forever!

The changing of bodies by our soul atman is similar to changing of guards at Buckingham Palace. When a student of class one on promoting to class two gets a new blazer... our soul atman after death of present body gets a new body based on the residual balance of karma of previous manifestations. In the cosmic system there are no free lunches.

All results from the karma performed by us. As is our karma... accordingly one manifests destiny! We cannot expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree. As we sow so shall we reap nothing less or more says the law of karma! In all circumstances of life it becomes imperative for human beings to follow the dictates of our soul atman... the spirit within!
