Reincarnation and Karma

Both reincarnation and karma are integrally related! One cannot exist in absence of other. Why? Reincarnation as described in various dictionaries and encyclopedias is a flawed concept. When our soul atman is indestructible... how can it take rebirth in a new body?

Reincarnation simply means manifesting of a new form by our soul atman after the death of present body. If matching parents are not available on Mother Earth the soul atman hibernates either in heaven or hell based on the residual balance of karma.

Sooner matching parents become available... the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a new body and starts a new cycle of life... although based on residual balance of karma of previous life but not directly connected to present life... the reason why we do not remember our past!

As long as a single trace of karma remains in our soul atman it shall continue reincarnating... manifesting bodies after another! The moment human beings gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha) all is over for the soul atman within.

Having regained its original pure pristine primordial form... the liberated soul atman finally enters the kingdom of God (aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism).

Karma is that inherent ingredient of the cosmic system that makes possible movement of life from one manifestation to another. In absence of karma life in the cosmic system simply could not exist in. Karma acts like accountant general of the cosmic system keeping details of every single action performed by living beings... physical or mental!

The moment human beings gained enlightenment... devoid of all karma the need to manifest a new body ceases to exist. Every soul atman requires a body to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! In its entire life cycle every soul atman requires manifesting a total of 8.4 million bodies.
