Not
Born equal
Every single
human being is equal in the eyes of God Almighty. In the cosmic
crux of life, God Almighty never differentiates! All human beings
are never born equal like all students in class never come first
nor there one class in the whole school! We slowly climb the ladder
of life... step-by-step! What if the books of fourth standard are
placed before a student of class one! Would one decipher the knowledge
within!
Similarly as
is our karma, so is our destiny! In the house of God there are no
free lunches. All is the result of a system that cannot err! Everything
in cosmic system is governed by the doctrine of karma. As we sow
so shall we get... nothing less for more... So says the law of karma!
Having born in the house of a cobbler... we simply cannot desire
marrying the Princess of the state! If we truly desire marrying
the Princess of the state... we need to perform karma accordingly!
In
whatever phase of life we may be... all is the result of the resultant karma of
the previous lives! If the residual balance of karma of all the previous manifestations
demands we get born in the house of a cobbler... to expect birth as a Prince is
hopeless! Such things... such expectations do not exist in the cosmic system!
The cosmic system does not run on desires and hopes. We simply need to work for
achieving an end! We definitely need to perform our karma! When
young I wanted to go in search of God. By 13 years of age my desire turned into
conviction. I belonged to an average family where food and shelter was always
available! We always admired the riches... a privilege of the few in the society!
In the field of spirituality such things do not matter at all! I continued my
journey... the uncharted path... with no spiritual master to guide! After 25 years
of yoga and meditation I finally realized God in 1993. I
have reached the Mount Everest of spiritual life! I have nowhere else to go! I
have reached the fag end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! I
can but take salvation (moksha) in this very life! I have become the richest of
the rich! Millions and billions of dollars do not matter for me... I have entered
the portals of God Almighty! I can commune with God Almighty any moment of my
life... I am one of the privileged few who reached the level of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. How
many times I had to eat hell for breakfast cannot be expressed in words. How many
times I went to the bank of the canal (adjoining my house) never to return again...
I simply do not remember! How many contemplations of suicide... sufferings galore...
nothing mattered in my journey of spirituality! I continued on and on having absolute
faith in God Almighty! I finally succeeded in life. I was not born with a silver
spoon in mouth! Yet, I am as near to God as was Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus
Christ and Prophet Mohammed in their lifetime! Happiness
and sufferings are simply two sides of the same coin! Only by suffering we get
ahead in the journey of life. This is the only way to remove the dross within!
The moment the complete impurities within our soul atman dissolve... one gains
enlightenment (kaivalya jnana)! Those whom we consider rich by all standards have
worked in their previous manifestations to earn this status. They had their part
of sufferings which we puny human beings fail to realize! We are limited by our
senses... it is only riding the path of spirituality we can see beyond the ordinary! Essay
