Whatever be the purpose of life... it can simply be known by hearing the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman within. It is our soul atman that is the master and controller of the body and not vice versa. It is not within the capability of the body to manifest a soul atman. The goal of life also belongs to our soul atman and never the body.

Ever since our soul atman started on its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations (an earthly abode of 96.4 million years)... the goal of every soul atman always remains the same... reaching the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation! But what of the individual manifestations the goal of which would vary with each manifestation.

As cosmic life proceeds ahead... every soul atman manifests body after another! In every human form... the body... The goal of soul atman remains distinct. Dominated by our ego most human beings suppress the voice of our soul atman. In such circumstances one fails to abide by the goal of our soul atman and loses track of life!

Human beings who abide by dictates of the soul atman within... follow the right goal of life and ultimately master their destiny! The distinct voice of our soul atman can only be heard by one following the path of absolute truthfulness... never otherwise! Bogged by wanton desires and greed for materialistic riches most human beings never care for the real purpose of life!

Knowing the purpose of life... having a goal in life is journey half covered. Like the separate pieces of a puzzle... every individual human being has a purpose in life! In absence of a single missing piece of puzzle... the entire puzzle does not complete! In absence of a purpose in life... the life of human beings also reduces to that of an animal.

Every human being has been endowed by power of discrimination by Almighty God... something that distinguishes us from animals. Mounted with this power of discrimination... human beings can easily search for the true purpose in life. Every one in the mortal world need not travel the spiritual path although it forms the ultimate purpose of life.

Whatever be our purpose in life... we shall always succeed in life only when we indulge in something dear to our heart... pursuing which we lose track of time. Life is not simply to be passed by... it must be lived in a meaningful way... the very purpose why God Almighty made the form of human beings... the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle!

We must always remember... only as human beings do the soul atman within regain its original pure pristine form. When human beings reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)... does the soul atman liberate finally from the cycle of birth and death forever. Thereafter it is a direct journey into the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism).

Chessboard of Life
In the chessboard of life we initially start as a pawn... the most elementary form of life... nothing within our control! As life passes by... until after 7.3 million manifestations in the insect, plant and animal form... we finally reach level of human beings! As human beings we sometimes behave like a Knight and sometimes a stallion!
