Knowledge
Knowledge is what we gain
from books and experience. The storehouse of knowledge is so vast...
it varies for different human beings! No human being can ever think
of gaining all knowledge existing in the cosmos. As is our goal
of life... so must be our indulgence in knowledge. If I desire becoming
an engineer in life, I simply need to indulge in books related to
engineering only.
Knowledge is
what we gain to spend an earthly sojourn of 70 to 80 years in the
best possible manner. Knowledge helps us earn bread-and-butter for
the day. It also helps us live life wisely. What if we desire to
understand the real core of life... the inner self of us! If we
desire dwelling in the spiritual domain... in the world of souls
atmans... we need to gain Wisdom (aka Jnana in Hinduism)!
The
parameter of knowledge varies from person to person. As is our perception... so
is our grasp of knowledge. For a grown-up, what terms a snake... a toddler may
try catching it considering it a rope! The domain of knowledge is limited by the
intellect of an individual. As we mature in life... accordingly grows our sphere
of knowledge! More our experience... a better grasp of knowledge one possesses! If
we desire traveling the spiritual path... we must gain wisdom that is available
in the various scriptures of all religions of the world. It is Wisdom that ultimately
paves way for one gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation
(moksha). Knowledge helps us live the ephemeral part of life in the best possible
manner! On the contrary... wisdom of the scriptures directly helps one gaining
entry into the kingdom of God (aka Vaikuntha in Hinduism). By:
