Religion Spirituality Religion
stems from community living. As the society progressed and enlightened beings
manifested on Mother Earth... their teachings and followings were termed as religion.
Religions primarily focus on worshiping God as the Creator and maker of all...
with whose grace the whole Cosmos exists. In Buddhism the existence of God itself
is denied... yet, they all believe in a source of power... an energy source that
is the cause for all existence in the Cosmos! With
the advent of Jesus Christ on the scene... the following that developed based
on the teachings of Jesus Christ was termed as Christianity. Similarly the following
of Gautama Buddha was termed as Buddhism. Both these religions primarily focus
on the teachings of their preceptor namely Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha. Religions
primarily focus on the ritual part of life. We adore god... we pray to God to
seek his blessings. On
the contrary the travelers of the spiritual path... the seekers of spirituality
desire becoming enlightened! They want to know and meet God in this very life.
They are willing to travel the extra mile that is so much essential for every
serious seeker of spirituality. Spirituality is knowing the true essence of spirit
within... our soul within! Spirituality is becoming one with God... realizing
our true essence... the I within! Spirituality
is gaining the Wisdom of Bhagavad Gita... the knower of which finally gains enlightenment
(kaivalya jnana) and salvation (moksha). The followers of religion remain confined
to the ritual part and never indulge in knowing God in its entirety. They never
truly believe in the fact that the common man across the road can gain enlightenment
and finally salvation. They believe more in gaining a seat in heaven than the
kingdom of God! The
kingdom of heaven is not something desirable for human beings. Heaven exists in
the core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It is
in such high temperatures our soul atman feels comfortable. Hell exists in the
periphery of sun where temperatures are comparatively less and here the soul suffers
for eternity! Bodily access to the kingdom of heaven is not permitted. Whenever
matching parents are not available on Mother Earth... the soul hibernates either
in heaven or hell. In heaven if the residual balance of karma is positive and
hell if negative! The moment matching parents become available on Mother Earth...
the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a body to work out its karma.
Every soul atman on its cosmic journey desires gaining liberation from the cycle
of birth and death forever at the earliest! The
travelers of the spiritual path... the serious seekers of spirituality never pursue
religious documents as the goal of life. The essence of life... the absolute truth
of life lies embedded in the pearls of wisdom contained in the Sacred Bhagavad
Gita of Hinduism... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in the battle
of Mahabharata. This one single scripture is sufficient for human beings to gain
enlightenment and finally salvation. Bhagavad Gita is the end of all! On
the contrary the definition of Dharma is, "Your right to do what is just
and right and not what was destined". Dharma is the root elixir of all that
exists in the cosmic system. It is Dharma that is inherently imbibed in every
living being since birth. No religion or spirituality... every living being including
human beings would survive but not without Dharma! Dharma is following the path
destined by God! When
Lord Krishna had not yet come, Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet
Mohammed had not yet been born... how did mankind exist? Everything survived based
on Dharma... the inherent guide and preceptor of all living beings! If we go through
the definition of Dharma through the link given at the bottom... the definition
of Dharma in its entirety becomes absolutely clear. Essay by: Vijay

one gains enlightenment and preaches the wisdom to the masses... one develops

Religion
and Science Religion
primarily helps us keep a balance in life as a physical manifested being. We do
not necessarily be religious in nature. We can simply follow the spiritual path.
It is the field of spirituality that ultimately guides the destiny of a human
being. What is right or wrong... must we given in or stand up and face the truth...
how we shape our physical realm of life is all governed by spirituality. And what
is spirituality?

Basis
of Religion The
root of all religions is Dharma (righteousness)... not faith! When not one religion
existed on Mother Earth... the humanity still survived. How? Dharma is that inherent
ingredient in the cosmic system which forms the sap of living form! Devoid of
Dharma (righteousness) life simply could not exist on Mother Earth or in the Cosmos!

Religion
and Evolution Every
religion primarily is a following of an enlightened master. No enlightened human
being would ever teach or preach anything that is wrong. Having reached the level
of enlightenment... the soul atman within having gained its pure original pristine
form... any impurities within an enlightened being is absolutely ruled out. It
is only when the dross within removes completely... one gains enlightenment (kaivalya
jnana)... never before!

Why a Religion
The second path is lived
by our physical manifest itself... the one prompted by our ego. This is where
religion comes into play. As we live life as a member of the community... we need
to follow certain rules framed by our religions masters. If all the family members
go to a temple, church or a mosque on a particular festive occasion... it becomes
imperative for us to follow! | |
