Catholics in general do not believe in self realization! Why? It is for the simple reason that self realization is not what is understood in the west! Self realization is another term used for enlightenment... both enlightenment and self realization means the same.

Enlightenment is gained when the dross impurities within our soul atman remove completely. Realizing self... realizing the real truth of us... becoming our real self by shedding the impurities within is what self realization is all about!

God Almighty ordained a journey of 1.1 million manifestations... an earthly life cycle of 12.4 million years to reach the stage of self realization termed enlightenment in the west! How difficult it is to reach the stage of self realization can be gauged from the fact that only two persons world over amongst 7 billion people gained self realization in the last about 150 years.

They were Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana. Both lay on a cot imparting the wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita to mankind. Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana were down-to-earth persons who just lived for the sake of humanity... laid down their life for the sake of humanity!

Reaching the stage of self realization means becoming a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed in ones lifetime! In Christianity as long as humble seekers continue living in a myth that Jesus Christ is a son of God... none can reach the stage of self realization nee enlightenment (kaivalya jnana).

Bhagavad Gita is one such document of Hinduism knowing which one finally transcends all barriers of ephemeral life... reaches the stage of enlightenment and salvation (moksha). The path of self realization... the journey of enlightenment is best covered assimilating the pearls of wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism.

One who can think logically... one who can counter the beliefs of the Church... one who is rationale can definitely travel the path of spirituality that takes one directly to the stage of enlightenment and salvation. God Almighty can never be reached via the path of religion. For gaining enlightenment one needs traveling the spiritual path! Why so?

It is for the prime reason that it is our soul atman the spirit within that has manifested the human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within! The moment last trace of dross impurities within the soul atman removed... human beings gained enlightenment and finally salvation. Seeking self realization is the end goal of every form of life on Mother Earth.

It is only in the human form... our soul atman finally liberates self from the cycle of birth and death forever... regains its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form! Travel in human form is the most pleasant experience for our soul atman.
