Giving Spiritual basis of ProsperityGiving here relates to pure community service and not donation to charity etc. Why is it so that community service is an integral element on the spiritual path. If we truly understand the meaning of spirituality... all would become clear by itself! Spirituality is removing the dross impurities within our soul atman... the spirit within! As human beings devoid of impurities dross within scaled higher reaches of spiritual pursuit... one feels compassion, forgiveness towards others! Why is it so that most successful people in life indulge in community service? In the domain of God... there are no free lunches! Why most prayers to God failed... the reason is apparent! All prayers were one-sided... seeking something from God but never offering anything in return! Every successful prayer has a clue behind! If we desire something from God... we must be prepared to give something in return! On the path of pure spirituality... the day I learnt this important lesson in life... it was never looking back! Whenever we desire something from God... we must offer something back in return may be in form of community service... offering God anything we have to offer... never out of compulsion! Only then one can hope prosperity in life. One may find many human beings going to the temples, churches and mosques very religiously... yet, their prayers often remain unfulfilled! Why? They had nothing to offer to God in return... they were not true seekers of the spiritual path... they simply wanted fulfillment of wanton desires and materialistic wealth!
