Initiation
and Spirituality In
spirituality... initiation by a Guru is not necessary. It is not an essential
must although many religious leaders emphasize upon it. I
would have definitely had a spiritual guru for myself if I could find one. When
I was 11 years of age I started in search of a spiritual master but could not
find one. However best I tried... there was none to be found! In my life I could
never find a Guru who was self realized and who truly had seen God. Whether
I went to Haridwar or Rishikesh the situation remained the same. On every trip
I accompanied my father I used to search for a Guru who was nowhere in sight.
Ultimately, I completely resigned hoping that I would never get a chance to see
God face-to-face. One-day
while I lay on a cot... a thought passed my mind. I asked of God whether he was
willing to be my guide in life and to my astonishment his answer was yes! I exactly
remember the dialogue I had with God. I asked of him why he had not hinted to
me before, that he was willing to become my guide... my spiritual guru for all
matters that are! Pat
came the reply... you never asked me! This makes one thing clear that God Almighty
never interferes in the creation of his. It was my ignorance that I completely
forgot to ask god Almighty for the same earlier. And
how did such a situation come to pass! Deeply engrossed in the thoughts of not
finding a Guru... the image of Eklavya flashed my mind. I could not understand
the meaning of the same. I pondered over the image of Eklavya throughout that
day and the following day. Somewhere after 72 hours did I realize that Eklavya
had no guru in his times! More on spiritual guru here - Guidance of a Guru Essay by: Vijay

Spirituality Spirituality
is not what you talk about. Spirituality has a deep ingrained meaning! Spirituality
is knowing real self of us... the wisdom of our soul atman within! Spirituality
is gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) at the earliest. Spirituality is becoming
a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed early in life.

Spiritual Guidance
Guidance in matters
spiritual... where to find it! At 11 years of age I finalized my goal of life...
I had to search God in this life come whatever may. At 13 years of age my desire
had converted into absolute conviction.I
wanted a spiritual guide... I got none. I ventured all over my country but found
none to guide me. Hordes of religious teachers but spiritual master none. I tried
my best but failed. In exasperation I requested God Almighty to send an angel
to guide me... I kept waiting but it was nowhere in sight!

Spirituality
not Religion To
be spiritual... is following the path of God. Religion is a ritual... a following!Spirituality
provides Inner peace... religion outer happiness! Spirituality
is understanding the truth of our soul atman within our heart. Religion is living
peacefully amongst the community. Spirituality
is reading the Bhagavad Gita and assimilating the pearls of wisdom therein. Religion
is going to the temples, churches or mosque and praying to God. Whether you get
anything in return is not the question. It is simply abiding by the dictates of
the elders.

Spiritual Experience
I had one of the best
spiritual experiences... the personal experience of coming face to face with God
Almighty on one-to-one basis. It was an experience that can never be explained
in words.When I was
11 years of age I had a very strong conviction of experiencing God in this life.
Another two years to go... my conviction had turned into a burning goal of life.
Come whatever may... I shall face God Almighty in this very life.
