The most sacred
scripture of Hinduism existing on Mother Earth is the Sacred Bhagavad
Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in the battle
of Mahabharata. This single document is sufficient for human beings
to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally
salvation (moksha).
The knower of
Bhagavad Gita finally becomes the knower of all... gains omniscience
forever! Bhagavad Gita contains 700 shlokas (verses) knowing which
one reaches the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation!
Bhagavad Gita can never be understood literally. One needs reading
in between the lines.
In Hinduism
there is not one sacred scripture as in Christianity or Islamic
Dharma. Christianity has Bible and followers of Islamic Dharma...
the Sacred Quran! In Hinduism first came the Vedas which are known
as revelations from God. They were directly revealed to mankind...
the revered sages of that era.
All the four...
the Rig veda, Sama veda, Yajur veda and Atharva veda were voluminous
in nature and incomprehensible to the masses. Came Lord Krishna
and the essence of all the four Vedas was reduced to Vedanta (the
end of Vedas... aka the sacred Bhagavad Gita).
In present times
it is not essential to read and assimilate the teachings contained
in the Vedas. For reaching God... the wisdom contained in the Sacred
Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism suffices. Apart from the Sacred Bhagavad
Gita... there are many Upanishads (independent treatises) compiled
by sages and Saints of that era!
The twin epics...
the sacred Mahabharata and Ramayana are not less important. Yet,
the teachings contained in the Sacred Bhagavad Gita are foremost
of all.
The primary
belief of Hinduism is... we are not an independent form! We are
a soul atman on its cosmic journey that has manifested the human
form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities within!
our soul atman the spirit within soul atman residing within our heart being the master and controller
of the body... it is imperative upon the body... the human form
to assist our soul atman in reaching the cosmic goal of life...
the 8.4 millionth manifestation!
The whole Hindu
philosophy rotates around the doctrine of karma. As we sow so shall
we reap... nothing less or more! As per Hinduism... the destiny
of mankind rests with the individual self. As is our karma... so
shall our destiny be!
In Hinduism
it is a permanent belief that every human being can reach the stage
of enlightenment like Mahavira, Gautam Buddha, Jesus Christ and
prophet Mohammed! As per Hindu belief the moment human beings reach
the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation
(moksha)... our soul atman finally regains its original pure pristine
primordial form... liberates itself from the cycle of birth and
death forever!
In Hinduism...
reaching the stage of salvation moksha is a fact of life. Every
human being can become a man God... so say Hinduism beliefs. Hinduism
is not based on a rhetoric... Hinduism is based on pure logic. Either
you convince me... or I convince you... whoever convinces the last
is the winner!
