In the initial stages of life when young, I wanted to see and meet God in this very life! 13 years of age I finally firmed up my decision... come whatever may in this very life I shall see and meet God! When young I was never fascinated towards any religion... the temples, churches or mosques! I was always after the inherent values of life... the essence of spirituality!

I was lucky when young I realized that there was something more to than the simple existence as a human being! Something fluttered in my heart... something absolutely unknown! As I tread the uncharted territory of spirituality I realized... our soul atman the spirit within was the absolute master and controller of the human body and not vice versa!

I wanted to know the inter-lying relationship between God and souls atmans! No spiritual master to guide I was all alone on the spiritual path. At no stage of life any religion was of help.

I have always looked forward to reading anything related to enlightened ones like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! I inherently realized that Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana also gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) in their lifetime.

Reading any books or literature related to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana was of great help. I started traveling the path of jnana yoga... the absolute path of wisdom! Finally I realized it was not the path of religion... but path of spirituality that needs treading for reaching God Almighty!

Following the path of Neti (not this, not this) Shavasana way of yoga as preached and advocated by Maharishi Ramana I finally crossed the ocean of Samsara (worldly life) and reached the stage of self realization in 1993 at 37 years of age! Having reached the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi I could commune with God Almighty on one-to-one basis and that too permanently!

I had reached the end goal of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in the cosmic life cycle! If we desire reaching God in our lifetime... we need not pursue the path of any religion. The pearls of wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism suffice for reaching the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).

Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism is one such document knowing which one becomes the knower of all... gains omniscience for all practical purposes! The precepts of spirituality... the wisdom contained in sacred Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism can never be understood literally... one needs reading in between the lines!

Fathoming the depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita is not difficult... what is important is the goal of present life! Mounted with the bulldog determination of Mr. Winston Churchill... with all eggs in one basket I finally transcended the ephemeral world forever. The concept of God and religion is not difficult to understand but establishing control over five senses and the mind is!

Understanding God and religion is not difficult but practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation is! It is only by establishing absolute control over five senses and mind, practicing absolute celibacy for 12 years in continuation... one finally reaches the portals of God Almighty... never otherwise!

One may belong to any religion... be a follower of any faith! For following the teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita one need not convert to Hinduism. Any human being world over can follow the teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita and reach the stage of enlightenment and salvation.
